Funtastic Five – Season 3

Affreej Elearning’s event, Funtastic Five Season 6, took place on January 18th, 2025. The event featured a series of engaging and dynamic activities aimed at enhancing all key elements of the “Fantastic 5” framework.

Facilitated by Ahad Ali Siddiqui, the session was packed with exercises that encouraged participants to think critically, work together, and explore their creative skills.

Exploring the “Funtastic 5”  Elements

The session kicked off with an introduction to the “Fantastic 5”, focusing on the 5 C’s: critical thinking, communication, creativity, collaboration, and character building. Participants, including Arham, Amal, Ahmad, Abdus Salam, Sinwan,  Maira, Sidra, and Zainab, explored these concepts through practical exercises.

Spot the Differences Segment

A critical thinking exercise involved spotting subtle differences between images of cities, where participants analyzed architectural details, placement of buildings, and other features. The exercise sparked an engaging conversation, with participants actively contributing their observations.

Continue the Story Segment

Participants also practiced their communication and collaboration skills through a fun game of “Continue the Story.” Each person took turns adding to an evolving story about children stranded on a remote island after a storm. The collaborative nature of the activity encouraged creative thinking, as each participant contributed to the development of the plot. From building rafts to crafting sails, the group worked together to ensure the children made it safely back home. The game helped sharpen the team’s ability to communicate ideas clearly and creatively.

Creative Drawing and Storytelling

Building on the theme of creativity, participants engaged in a drawing and storytelling activity where they were asked to illustrate a magical tree. Guided by the host, the participants envisioned a tree with glowing leaves, colorful birds, and a hidden door, bringing their imagination to life. The activity was a hit, with participants showing impressive creativity and engagement. It was a perfect example of how imagination can enhance communication and collaboration.

Technical Challenges and Interactive Games

The interactive quiz posed a series of riddles, shapes, and sequences that tested participants’ problem-solving skills. The game fostered a sense of friendly competition and teamwork, with everyone eager to answer questions and engage with one another.

Emphasizing Character Building

The session concluded with a deep dive into character building—one of the most critical aspects of the 5 C’s. The host emphasized that a strong character is fundamental to effectively engaging in the other C’s. Participants discussed how values such as resilience, responsibility, and empathy play key roles in personal and professional growth.

Future Directions

Looking ahead, the Affreej team will continue exploring the 5 C’s with new activities in future sessions. Additionally, plans are in motion to incorporate more interactive AI tools in upcoming sessions to further engage participants.

This session not only helped participants hone their critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills but also allowed them to experience firsthand the importance of character building. With ongoing improvements and new challenges on the horizon, the Affreej Elearning program continues to provide valuable learning opportunities that integrate fun and personal development.

The session by Affreej was an amazing experience for my 8-year-old. It introduced them to the 5 Cs of the 21st century—critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and citizenship—in such a fun and engaging way. Watching them solve problems, share ideas, and work with others was truly inspiring. It’s wonderful to see them excited about learning skills that will shape their future. A big thank you to Affreej for creating such an impactful session!

My son enjoyed this virtual class. Me myself a teacher I know how hard it is to hold the attention and focus throughout the online class but hats off to the host and affreej that my son had been engaged in the whole event and activities were so well planned that he didn’t call me at once what he usually does for any other online class.
    Thank you so much
